Disease & Healing
When Disease happens in our bodies, it is often arrives to bring some form of revelation to us about ourselves in some way, for example: what is going on the inside of us, what has been going on for a long time, where we have perhaps avoided taking some form of stance or action and when are we going to change or let go of something within, that no longer serves any purpose for us.
When we become ill, it provides us with an opportunity to go inward and take a good long hard look at our behaviour, our conditioning, our belief systems, our behavioral patterns and ourselves in general. This however, requires a great deal of honesty with the Self, which quite honestly is not a strong point of ours as humans. We often tend to put the blame on others for our situations instead of owning our part in it and doing something about it. In every situation we do have a part – find it! We have somewhere between 0-50% part, mostly 50%! If you run your life believing somehow that others are responsible for you and your situation, we suggest that you find a good counsellor to work with, one who can assist you to see the truth about you and your part in the situation. Once you see that, it is up to you to take some form of action to change whatever it is that requires changing, in order for your life to improve and for it to flow better.
Often these issues are around our conditioning and belief systems and are playing out in the form of illness, in order for us to learn something and/or to change our lives and us. A common example is when we perhaps believe that we need to give and give and give, and do and do and do for others. After a period of time we become resentful and/or angry and upset. Where did this behaviour come from? Where or why did we learn to do this? Where did we witness this behavior in our role models? What purpose does it serve?
When we are honest with ourselves, we will see what is going on and when we understand what the illness is about, we will see that it is forcing us to take some kind of action to change something we may have been avoiding for a long time. Often our behaviour is related to some sort of conditioning and/or belief system that we took on at some point, whilst growing up. When we resolve it we tend to get better and healing can take place.
We are not talking here of being born with a specific condition, as that is a completely different situation.
